Sue Ure Maison is an independent design studio in south-west France, creating ceramics and home accessories inspired by mid-century design and the bright colours of the 1960s.
Every piece is designed by Sue. Her ColourPop studio collection is thrown and finished by hand in her own workshop, in a blend of stoneware and porcelain. Our award-winning Ambit porcelain, place mats and textiles are made with partners we pay fairly and have worked with for years.
Each order is packed carefully in our studio and sent directly to customers across the EU and UK.

From the studio
Every Sue Ure Maison piece begins in Sue's studio in rural south-west France.
Each Ambit mug, beaker and jug starts life on the potter's wheel. Sue throws dozens of prototypes in stoneware and porcelain, adjusting the shape, size and thickness until it feels right in the hand, before a mould is made from her final piece. The range is then made in small batches by a family-run, solar-powered workshop in Sri Lanka, and every coloured line is still drawn by hand.
The ColourPop studio collection goes one step further: every jug, bowl and vase is thrown, decorated and fired by Sue herself, so no two pieces are ever quite the same.

Our flagship Ambit range brings together mugs, jugs, beakers and bowls in fine porcelain, finished with hand-drawn colour lines inspired by mid-century design. Designed by Sue, made in small batches by our family-run partner and built for everyday use.
THE COLOURPOP COLLECTION
ColourPop is Sue's personal collection, made entirely in her own workshop in a blend of fine white stoneware and porcelain. Bold stripes, generous shapes and one-off colour combinations mean no two pieces are ever quite the same.

Curated sets are the easiest way to build a cohesive table or find a thoughtful gift, and every set costs less than buying the pieces individually.
DINE IN STYLE
Our melamine place mats and coasters are wipe-clean, heat-resistant and built to last, in original prints designed by Sue. Mix and match with our organic cotton napkins and tea towels for a table that's as practical as it is beautiful.

Every order is packed by hand in our studio in south-west France and sent with tracked delivery across the EU and UK. Payment is taken through Shopify's secure, encrypted checkout.

Tracked to your door
EU orders typically arrive in 2 to 7 business days and UK orders in 6 to 8, with tracking from dispatch.
Packed with care
Each piece is wrapped individually in paper bubble-wrap, boxed, then double packed with extra padding.
