The ideal mug for your breakfast tea or coffee. Its wider, lower shape fits under most coffee machines and is perfect for a morning cup, with room for a refill.

A hand-drawn coloured line separates the glossy glazed upper half from the matt unglazed porcelain below, and inside you can still see the traces of Sue's hands from throwing the original mug. The fine rim is a pleasure to drink from, while the high-fired porcelain is robust enough for daily use.

Origin

Designed by Sue in her studio in south-west France, where every Ambit shape begins as a prototype thrown on her potter's wheel. A mould is made from her final piece, and the range is then made in small batches by a family-run, solar-powered workshop in Sri Lanka, with every line drawn by hand. Read about their switch to solar power.
