Off to Shanghai: Presenting My Ceramic Tableware Collections in China

Next week I’ll be travelling to Shanghai to present my ceramic tableware collections at the B2B showcase French Arts de la Table Days et Goût de France 2026, organised by Business France.
I’m really excited to be showing both of my ceramic tableware collections in China, including the Ambit range, which you can explore here.
The event is being held at the Xijiao State Guest Hotel and will bring together a small group of French brands presenting contemporary tableware and design.
Preparing for the event has been something of a challenge. It’s quite different from the traditional trade fairs I’m more familiar with. This gathering is designed as a more intimate showcase, with a cohesive vision created by Stéphanie Sallette of Studio NooSH, who is based in Shanghai.
I’m very much looking forward to meeting the team at the Business France office in Shanghai, who have been reassuring and patiently supportive of an exhibitor with plenty of questions along the way.
I’m also very grateful for the financial support provided through the Plan Métiers d’Art, which has helped make participation possible for a small independent design business.
The aim of the trip is to explore new collaborations. That might mean finding a distribution or retail partner for my ceramic tableware collections, or working with partners to design new collections for future projects.
French Tableware in Shanghai
The French Arts de la Table Days et Goût de France 2026 brings together French designers and food brands presenting contemporary tableware and gastronomy in Shanghai. Events like this create opportunities for collaboration, connecting French design with retailers, hospitality projects and distributors in China.
For a small independent ceramics brand, it’s an exciting opportunity to introduce new collections to a different audience and to explore how French tableware might find its place on tables further afield.
I’ll be presenting both of my ceramic collections, including the Ambit range, which you can explore here.
A Country with a Remarkable Ceramic Tradition
Travelling to China also feels meaningful from a ceramic perspective. Chinese kilns have been producing extraordinary stoneware and porcelain for thousands of years, dominating tableware taste and research around the world. For a contemporary ceramic designer, visiting a country with such a deep history of craftsmanship is both inspiring and very humbling.
